Mental Training

Mental Strength Is No Coincidence

Mental strength often determines whether skills can be drawn upon when it matters most - in sport as well as in everyday (and professional) life. Targeted mental training can improve focus, confidence, and the ability to handle pressure. Methods are always tailored to the specific situation and individual goals.

Athlete Support

Performing When It Matters Most

Mental strength determines how athletes deal with pressure, recover quickly from mistakes, and access their full potential at crucial moments. Everything works well in training - the key is whether the same performance can be reproduced in competition. Sport psychology addresses precisely this: to help athletes reliably access their existing abilities under pressure.

In individual sessions practical strategies are developed which can be directly integrated into training and competition, supporting consistent and confident performance.

Focus Areas

  • Identifying strengths and potential
  • Building confidence and mental stability
  • Managing nervousness and pressure
  • Focus, concentration and routines
  • Motivation and goal clarity
  • Relaxation, activation, and recovery

Team Support

Be Strong Together

A strong team is more than the sum of its individual members. Sport psychology helps teams build trust develop shared values and remain effective and resilient even in challenging times.

In workshops, discussions and practical exercises we work on mental and interpersonal factors that have a sustainable influence on team performance and cohesion.

Focus Areas

  • Strengthening team spirit and cohesion
  • Team identity and shared values
  • Communication and trust within the team
  • Role clarity and conflict management
  • Shared goals and motivation
  • Dealing with pressure and setbacks

Coach Support

Staying Grounded While Supporting Others

Coaches play a key role in shaping both athletic performance and the well-being of their athletes. Sport psychology support for coaches focuses on gaining confidence in dealing with high-pressure situations, better understanding athletes and simultanuously keeping an eye on their own personal mental well-being.

We work on how to strengthen communication, provide clear orientation for athletes, and remain effective even in demanding situations.

Focus Areas

  • Communication and relationships with athletes
  • Managing expectations and performance pressure
  • Stress management and burnout prevention
  • Emotional regulation in demanding situations
  • Integrating mental skills into daily training
  • Self-reflection and personal development

Work & Everyday Life

FAQ

A session usually lasts 55 minutes.

This depends on your goals and situation. Some clients benefit from a few focused sessions, while others choose to continue for several months or even years. Consistency is key to creating meaningful and lasting progress.

Not at all. Many people use sport and business psychology proactively—to optimize performance, strengthen focus, and further develop their mental strength.

Both are possible. Sessions are available online or in person, depending on your preference and circumstances.

All conversations are treated with strict confidentiality.

I am a member of the Austrian Federal Network for Sport Psychology (ÖBS), and my hourly rate is based on their guidelines.

Health insurance providers generally do not cover sport psychology sessions. However, elite athletes may have the option to receive financial support from their clubs or federations. It’s best to contact your club or federation directly for more information.
